Option to disable windows' focus that follows mouse hover

Windows in Blender only gain focus when mouse is hovered over them. In some situations it become counterproductive - for example when typing commands to python console you need both hand on the keyboard.

Workaround on Linux - create a shortcut to move mouse to the active window:

It also started happening between the blender main window and the preferences window in recent versions. I believe the change that caused this behavior was introduced here: projects.blender.org/blender/blender/pulls/104681 I don't think this should be enabled by default.

Totally agree. While I understand hovering is faster to use, it's also faster to make you do the wrong things, even for the aware user.

Some softwares let you select the active area by just clicking. And there's often a way to click an area to select it without actually doing anything, like Alt LMB . To prevent unwanted actions.

ideally they just fix the problem with the python console/text editor areas. things like textboxes already get priority focus, even if the mouse drifts beyond the parent area so there's a precedent for it.

This would be a better solution than your proposal IMO, because people like myself who still want hover focus, would also still prefer that all text editors have priority focus.
