Curve 'Weight' Attribute to be a gettable attribute

Currently the weight attribute is sort of a hidden attribute, can't be accessed beyond the n-panel and can't be fetched in any ways, like we can access the radius and the tilt attributes. It would be good to have this attribute working in Geometry Nodes, in order to drive effects controlled by the user.

Furthermore, I wish there was other 'dummy' attributes that could be easily accessed by the users, so they could 'physically' tweak GeoNodes functionalities in the viewport like they can for radius and tilt. Captura de tela 2025-03-03 112952.png

I would love this to go even further and have control-points groups, just like vertex groups. I don't think it is standard (?) so it wouldn't be exportable, but being able to have weights on each control point, set them in edit mode or weight paint, get/set/edit in geonodes would be amazing. And maybe have the tilt and radius as pre-packaged groups that can't be deleted.

Curve data-block is still using legacy attribute system and we will not see something like that yet until the upgrade is finished. but Curves data-block, which is currently only used by Hair objects, does support the new attribute system where we can add and use our own custom attributes.

if we migrate our geometry node graphs to use the new Curves data-blocs, we can script that UI.

so i've solved that with an add-on when i realized that fast prototyping with Geometry Node graphs with heavy use of custom attributes is very slow, it requires creating many supplementaty Node Tools graphs or scripting custom UI.

it adds input fields to edit attribute values on the selection both in Object and Edit modes, for Meshes, Curves (Hair), and Curves of Grease Pencil (v3) at the curent frame.

unfortunately, it's paid for now, because i need to recover the time spent on it. but i agree that this is indeed something that should be built-in, and i'd love to contribute if i get enough resources for that
