GPU acceleration for Geometry nodes
Geometry nodes are very powerful, but when working with heavy data sets like VDBs or meshes with high polygon count, they can freeze up or take forever to calculate. Since many geometry nodes are multithreaded, GPU acceleration makes sense, potentially massively speeding up operations (thinking in particular of operations on VDB grids, where it is my understanding most calculations happen per-voxel, theoretically allowing for massive speed up when accelerated by a modern GPU). This would especially benefit users who have a good GPU but a mid CPU.
I would love to see this come to Blender!

yes
I just realized that this has idea has been suggested before. Sorry about repeating it. However, this is an incredibly important area to me and I am sure others. That said, I understand that such a project would demand huge code rewrites/changes, but I do think that it deserves at least some degree of priority. Thanks Blender devs for all the work you do!
