Provide an input node for the Geometry Nodes tool that can operate on all selected objects.
Currently, if you want to modify all selected objects together, you usually have to run the tool for each one — essentially iterating through each object to perform the same operation. However, if you want to align the X, Y, Z axes of all selected objects, you can’t access other objects during the process. Sometimes you may want to randomly place the selected objects, but you also can’t scatter them as instances. I know you can use the Geometry Nodes modifier, but this means you have to create a separate new object and then drag the collection or objects into it for operation. Such an input option would be a huge help for batch operations, such as arranging, aligning, renaming, or setting individual AOVs or IDs.

The Geometry Nodes tool is an overlooked yet extremely useful development tool. If more access options could be provided — such as views, cameras, lights, etc. — it would bring great convenience to users, meaning you can write various plugins to adapt to your own workflow.
It's not overlooked, it's in development.
