Adding time re-mapping feature property on per collection basis
PLease add tim time remapping on per collection basis, so that objects in a particular collection can be easily time remapped. this should apply to the scene collection for global time remapping.
Also this support of time remapping must be added to the non linear editor and graph editer
The time remapping feature does work correctely, it is only working by slowing or speeding up the scene animation but the correct time remapping would the ability to animate time based on frames, variable frame rates interpolation between keyframes of time remapping variable. A good example of time remmaping that works perfectely is the after effects time remapping feature which works on composition basis, It would be cool if this support can be added to collection, so that time re-mmaping can done or enabled on per collection basis including scene collection. If this feature is added a person can just enable the time remapping on a particular collection and then all the objects in the collection that have animations on them are time-remapped. If the scene collection time remapping is enabled then the entire scene is time remappable. after effects trial is available so you can examine the feature

What happens if you have nested collections and each level has its own remapping?
* @ammusionist * just enable it on a single collection period
* @mittisimone * Right. Which one?
* @Jason van Gumster *
I think you the one with the animated object with in. So that you can retime their animation
* @mittisimone * And if both have animated objects?
* @Jason van Gumster * then you have to include those collection into a new collection then enable time remapping on that.
* @mittisimone * If you're remapping a collection instance, that makes sense. However, just blindly remapping a collection leads to too many dependency collisions.
* @Jason van Gumster * I don't know what you are talking about but I know what am talking about am programmer and I know it is possible with python as well but want blender developers to handle it. There is collision no in after effects time line compositions, composition are collections of layer, nothing is impossible.
* @mittisimone * Blender's collection system is more flexible than what's available in After Effects. Let's make the assumption that we're not overhauling how that system works. If that's the case, you need to come up with a design that fits with that system. There are thusfar two scenarios that you've failed to adequately address:
Of course, if you're talking about instances of each of these collections, then the solution is much more simple. An instance can have a time remapping override just like overriding any other attribute. But, that doesn't sound like what you're proposing.
The trick is to enable it on the desired collection like that it on after effects compositions
* @mittisimone * You're not actually addressing any of the questions being posted here. These are real concerns and it's not helpful to give flippant responses. Folks are trying to poke holes in the idea... there are just use cases that need to be considered before actually implementing anything like this.
You can enable time remapping on the collection where it is required
I guess you time remapping wisely
How do you propose handling the case when an object belongs to more than one collection that's got its time remapped differently?
* @Jason van Gumster * why work that way.
* @mittisimone * It's a common workflow that's existed in Blender for a long time and something that many Blender users are well accustomed to. This approach is extremely useful for scene organization, setting up View Layers for compositing, object instancing, and complex multi-purpose character rigs.
* @Jason van Gumster * right now that time remapping to slow down my character ,speed up or slow it some more. That is not happening in blender. Right I have to bake actions then start a group of key frames dragging them left or right to achieve the effect of time remapping
* @mittisimone * I understand why you would want the feature. Hell, I think being able to remap an individual character would be great myself. Right now, if I were to do such a thing, I'd probably either bake to an Alembic cache or simply modify that character's keyframes directly.
Using a linked rig in a larger project, I'd mostly likely be linking a collection instance into another scene. In that case, it would make sense to retime that instance. But retiming a "naked" collection introduces the possibility of too many collisions.
* @Jason van Gumster * I trying avoid huge file from alembic cache,especially when it is crowd of characters, Maya had time warps, after effects has time remapping, on composition. Why not on a collection.
* @mittisimone * I prefer to cache after time remapping.
* @mittisimone * I've already explained why doing it directly on a collection introduces a lot of complications. If you remap on an instance of a collection, though, there should be no problem.
* @Jason van Gumster * let take your way
