Pack .blend file improvements

The ability to "pack" textures in to a .blend file is great, but it's time for more robust options that lets you "pack" video and image sequences.

I'm proposing a "collect files" option like After Effects. This would create a new folder structure with a .blend file and all its needed assets. It would let you easily send projects with video or images sequence textures/assets to render farms, or Dropbox, etc.

You might navigate to External Data > Collect All File Assets

You forgot to mention .blend libraries

packing video... there shouldn't be much compression gain there. if it where then your using the wrong codec. I kinda am against it though, simply create a \prj\name\video structure my prj are already often huge, i take multiple videos from a blend file, and often use additional software to edit the vide (be it though that i do that less now blender is more capable recently)

* @peter.boos * I think it's not about compressing and reducing size, but more about distributing and sharing files, without the need of attaching loads of additional files.

* @peter.boos * It shouldn't actually pack video files to the project, it should just let you collect all your assets into a new folder structure that is clean and easy for sharing.

* @fsprinkle * I still dont like the idea, my files would explode in seize while it could have been simply a small blend file with all external referals. I think there are better ways to share data, use gitlab
