Combine Volumes in Geometry Nodes

I would love to see a way to combine or boolean volumes in geometry nodes. Like to take multiple volumes and add, subtract, union, difference them and then be able to convert that result to a mesh. This would open a lot of creative methods to generating more kinds of procedural meshes.

The implementation would be additional volume nodes in the GN editor. I'm guessing the challenge is to combine different resolutions, but it could just use the lowest res of all used volumes if not specified.

Amen! That's what I need, I've become so pampered with these VDB tools from Houdini ( sidefx.com/docs/houdini/nodes/sop/vdbcombine.html )

Is it not already possible to do so by converting them into meshes and then making these operations directly to the meshes?

Not really. Take for example the idea of making swiss cheese out of an arbitrary mesh (not a volume cube). You can kind of boolean meshes together in GN, but not very well, and not as a true volume. mesh booleans are surface booleans, not volume booleans.

In GeoNodes, I would distribute points in the volume of a cylinder, or other arbitrary mesh. Then instance spheres with random radius on those points.

From there, no combination of mesh operations I've come up with allows to cut away the spheres and then convert that to a volume to remesh it smoothly. The only think I can think of would be to do boolean operations on volumes. But if you know of a way to do that, please let me know. I'm happy to be wrong.
