Most of the time be able to clearly identify UV island can boost productivity, this is a common feature in most of 3d softwares for obvious reasons.

I also think this could look good in other colors than white, so maybe this border can be adjustable in the theme settings
Great idea! If this is implemented it should be toggleable under the UV menu in the UV Editor window. Not sure if this should be on or off per default
