Asset Browser Horizontal Search box
Small change to the search box for the asset browser.
Making it vertical or horizontal based on the window position for better continuity and contextual design.

I like the idea that both forms could be used, vertically and horizontally. However, it is also true that if you use it vertically, you only have to press T and you will have more space. Just use T when you need to use the Search box and hide when you don't need it
That would be super useful. But considering how Blender's UI/UX is built different than other DCCs, (Basically everything in Blender is inside one large window), it would be very difficult to implement this inside Blender. One thing the devs can do, instead of Auto updating the UI to support Vertical, they can set 2 different modes (vert and Horiz). So users can change the UI regardless how wide or narrow it is. It will not be much smooth, but at least we can get something.
definitely
That is really an excellent approach to using the space efficiently!
ps: I've taken the freedom to change your Image a bit, to make it more clear what seems to be the problem and your suggested solution!

Cheers :) I'm glad this is gaining some love from the community. I see most people using the asset browser horizontally, I feel it steals more space that way. Vertical is the way forward :D
