Option to make grid snapping more fixed and consistent to an assigned resolution/pixels.
Hello guys. I would like to propose a feature that would allow the user to make the snapping more consistent and fixed by assigning a specific amount of resolution/pixel no matter how the viewport zoom is scaled.
I am not enitirely familiar with how blenders snapping system works but I believe I heard someone said a while ago that blender's snapping system is dependent upon how the viewport zoom is scaled. I dont know how to explain it much better but the main thing I hope blender would soon implement is for users to have more simple and consistent snapping around the gridlines, making the grid snaps more noticeable
Thanks.

Blender snaps to increments the same size as the smallest visible grid divisions (if you can see small squares, it will use those, if you zoom out and can only see bigger squares, it will use those instead)
You've described the problem, but I'm not sure you've really proposed a solution here. Exactly how would you suggest making grid snaps more noticeable?
* @Jason van Gumster * Maybe the snapping is not specifically the problem but how blender is dependent upon the set resolution (scale and subdivisions) on a adaptive manner. Instead of it snapping on the next thicker grid line, when zoomed in closer that snapping fuction will snap to the smaller grids otherwise.
The adoptive type of snapping is nice but maybe it would also be a good addition to have the option to make it snap to a consistent and specific set of grids.
* @johnpdelacruz26 * Where would you propose setting that option?
* @Jason van Gumster * Maybe in the snap settings or in the viewport overlay. I cannot say for sure. The developers might have a better solution because they are more aware of how the entire program is being ran.
* @johnpdelacruz26 * You don't need to be a developer to know where things might be helpful to you as a user. If this is an option, then perhaps it's a check box. But that check box probably should only be visible if you have grid snapping enabled since it doesn't make sense for increment snapping or feature snapping.
This is the kind of thing to think through on your proposal and what should probably be included in a mock-up.
* @Jason van Gumster * Your are right.
