Vertex Group Indicate Verts Assigned
When assigning verts to a vertex group, I find myself deselecting and reselecting the verts in the group to be sure they were assigned.
I think each vertex group should have an indicator icon to show it has verts assigned to it. See image for mock up.

For less noise, maybe the current icon itself can be changed to represent the two states of empty and filled.
Great idea
Like the idea, had a similar: just a blue flashing of the 'Assign' button (like 3 times) would be a middle ground between cluttering the list too much and no feedback at all.
Yes that would be a very handy feature
It shows in edit mode in N panel
