Outliner, Keymap and so on.
Have a few question/proposition/discussion. Don't know how it's in earlier versions, I use 2.8

Sometimes it's kinda annoying that you need click to another place for change focus after typing something in text fields (like search fields and like that).

Why Blender doesn't use pretty much standard keys for selection EVERYWERE?

Click = select
Ctrl+Click = Add to selection
Click on first element, then Shift+Click on last = Select list of elements from first to last
Alt+Click = Delete from selection.
Well, actually I think even Alt+Click unnecessary, because Ctrl+Click and Shift+Click should remove elements from selection as well. But I guess it's standard way for few editors - divide add and remove elements.
- Outliner it's a good thing but:

a) Unical names through ALL collections it's meh.
b) If you rename element and new name already used, you just get old name after Enter. So you need again DoubleClick and type one more new name. It's annoying.
c) Blender definitely need using another unical IDs for elements than names.
d) It will be good if click on collection will select all its contains.
e) Selection between Outliner and Editor/Layout window definitely need synchronization. Both ways.

This is a bunch of different ideas bundled into a single post. It would be best if you separated these ideas into individual proposals, each specific and fleshed-out with actionable recommendations. That way they can be discussed and voted upon individually.
Check this- devtalk discussion about outliner improvements. Guy work on it right now duringGoogle Summer of Code.
