I see that blender isnt using that much memory
Could someone please implement a himem mode in blender so it can occupy up to 80% of internal ram and memory? i personally have 128GB of ddr4 ram and blender rarely takes up more then 1G. just throwing this out there, i can bite the bullet, but everyone needs atleast 64G of ram in 2026, probably 8G per core
we can offload the viewport, cache renders, cache plugin work, cache and thread sfx such as water and fire, speed up animation and make the user interface snappier, and completely in memory as long as it needs to reside, but it should somewhat, maybe 5% increase in preformance up to 20% if optomized versus nvmem2 and system memory
i believe assembly can speed things up in a minor way, especially during heavy algorithms especially when fully utililzing well coded algrorithms, but a ifdef is required to switch between aarch64 and x86
and yeah if someone could check dangling pointers and check if spare variables can equal NULL itd be awesome, ill personally review the source sometime

This seems like a proposal that goes into different directions.
Note that Blender using less memory means that you didn't stress Blender and you have a lot of room to play with. I would not recommend optimizing for low utilization as your system is very well at handling it. Production scenes can have hundreds gigs of memory in use I rather spend more time optimizing these scenes to be more responsive.
Caching should be added where it is needed. Caching is one of the hardest problems in software engineering. Adding them just to use more memory would add more management overhead and has the possibility to slow down the system when not engineered correctly.
