step out/ stop computing/stop calculating

Is there some way to add a shortcut to stop computation when you are sure your computer is not going to handle it (something like a step out in programming). It would be great if it was a one shot that stopped current calculations and undid your last action. I am finding working in the new geometry nodes you never know what is going to happen for certain. There is a point where you are pretty sure it is about to crash though.... Sorry I was not quite sure where to put this. I looked around and searched but did not find similar request.

Perhaps perform these unstable computations in a separate process or a separate cpu thread along with the use of callbacks; if the process times out and fails to acknowledge a checkpoint, it's because the computation likely failed.

Well usually in Blender when baking or rendering you can just press ESC to stop them, I don't know if it's planned for geometry nodes.
