Capsule as mesh primitive in geometry nodes
Capsules are useful primitives - would be nice if they'd be added to the repertoire of node based primitives.

Idea, that new tools/options are added nowadays as a geometry nodes gives me a thought if Blender will be usable anymore for people who do not want nodes too much. Standard tools can also be procedural, but, in this case, requires one "tiny" thing - standard primitives that are procedural until will be "flattened".
You can use EXTRA OBJECTS add-on (comes with Blender). There is a ROUNDED CUBE which has an operator - CAPSULE. But it is too many clicks for such simple thing. It should be a part of main group of primitives, due to its enormous usability in any kind of modeling.
I did my own version and appended it as a NodeGroup to the default Startup File so I can acces it whenever I need.

Feel free to use it if you like it ;)
You could do that procedurally with the help of few Nodes
*A sphere *Gradient texture *Math node *Set position

And I like flattened capsules, too:
