Timeline - Loop playback once
Not my idea. Someone else mentioned it and it's got merit.
Just a simple button to do a single playthrough on the timeline instead of looping.
I actually used this in a different program to check the endings of animations, so I see his point.

it's already exist ! but UI is not easy to catch.
Set your timeline to the minimum frame and maximum frame you want to playthrough. Then when you want to loop a part press P (for Preview range) and box select the frames. Alt P or click the button, showing a watch, to return at the maximal range.
For some reasons, this is not shown in timeline's view menu but you can see it in the dopesheet's view menu.
And yes, the UI need to be clearer !
Hello, I don't see advantatges in this type of setting. Every software I use repeats the timeline, even video editing softwares like after effects, and I like it that way. You can watch it a lot of times and analyzing if it's good or not wihout touching any clicks. If you want to end the timelime animation, you can press space or do a playbast.
Yes, and After Effects also lets you turn the loop playback off.
Ah, I see. I read it wrong. I thought he meant "Loop playback once as default". Yes,if it's an option I agree I could be an interesting to have.
