Can Trace be updated?

Hi all,

I'm new to cellshading using OSL

Is it possible to update the function of OSL's traceset or shade?

Trace can achieve near real-time operations and satisfactory results. But it can't be exclusive. It doesn't handle the shadows well either with the ID Mask or with the Render Layer.

This is the result of using only trace( P , CustomDirection )
