Marker/clip cut off for animation

Basically allow users to mark the end of a scene on timeline like

scene 1: camera zooms towards city [frames 1-120 ]

scene 2: a character is sitting on top of a building [frames 121-240]

basically let use add a marker or some pointer to tell blender to render 1-120 frames from one scene and then 121-240 for another and it renders the frames in seperate two files OR if possible, tells the video editor there is a marker here like obs does when u put a marker and it shows up on editor

it is helpful for those who animate and have to cut down clips during video editing, it will be time saving

try 5.0 with the video editing template, you can put scenes into the VSE which is pretty much what you are asking for

maybe i wasnt clear, prob my fault since didnt explained it well

i am talking about video editor outside of blender like kdenlive/davinci resolve. what i mean is:

u can just render that one scene into multiple parts [1-20.mkv ,21-70.mkv ,71-100.mkv frames] instead of one whole [1-100.mkv frames] and cut it later on in video editor of your choice with the help of a marker or indicator that is one or two button shortcut that tells renderer that these three clips should be seperated and export in different files

why not do it yourself in editor? its more of a ease of use. and if ur scene has alot of different camera angles, it will become a pain to split them in video editor

ah ok so if I understand correctly you have a single scene in Blender with camera cuts and you want to render out separate video files for each cut.

I think this is a case for an addon or small python script that automates that process for you.

yea, i just wanted to suggest it, i am going to try code it myself but suggested it incase people like the idea and if its in common interest

Lauloque

Have you tried using scene clips in the video editor?

i do know you can make scene and import them into blender video editor but i am talking about outside of it while it goes give you control, i am talking about one whole scene which has complete animation and u can just render that one scene into multiple parts [1-20.mkv ,21-70.mkv ,71-100.mkv frames] instead of one whole [1-100.mkv frames] and cut it later on in video editor of your choice

this suggestion is more of a ease of use related since it is faster and would be easier in my prespective.

with the help of a marker or indicator that is one or two button shortcut that tells renderer that these three clips should be seperated and export in different files

why not do it yourself in editor? its related to ease of use and if ur scene has alots of different camera angles, it will become a pain to split them in video editor than just import all at once

if this thing isnt becoming a feature, i am gonna make python script for it
