Substitute the Modifer's View Icon
In the last week, the button responsible for display/hide the modifier in viewport has changed to a chain icon.
In my opinion, this icon doesn't relate to the button functionality. The old one was fine.

* @othoap * yes, I agree.
No worries, the screen will come back . :')
Jep, the eye! Take a look into the Outliner. There we have an eye. Take a look e.g. into the "Object Types Visibility"-Menu. Also an eye. I think it is very important not to overflood with different icons! Lets say: the camara-icon represents "RENDERING" and the eye represents "VIEWPORT". Please try to decide the icons overall not only in one (sub-)context. ;-)
how does a chain even make sense for a visibility toggle? I'm running a build from last week and at first glance I thought you were suggesting a chain icon and I was going to come and call it a bad idea- so take my upvote instead!
