Add "Remove from All Unlocked Groups" (Vertex Groups)

Delete from Unlocked Groups.png e.g You want to erase particular selection of vertices for multiple vertex groups, not all.

Good idea but not enough... Why don't you request instead some "checkbox selection feature" for multi item actions. Such feature may be implementd for not only vertex groups and used not only for some remove from action. You also can leave your locks as is with such feature.

Why not select vertices from all selected groups in single click, assign to all selected groups, any. Such feature will provide IMO much more efficient way of handling things.

I love the concept of vertex group selection an what can be done with it. However the checkbox as illustrated can be misleading, it seems like you are enabling / disabling vertex groups. The selection to me is more like the whitish overlay over "Group.003". I think the behaviour of the outliner could be used as an example. Single click = makes vertex group active (for weightpainting etc) Shift-Click = Adds to selection while maintaining first clicked active

Checkbox selection concept isn't something rare. You can enable this in Windows explorer. Main benefit in this particular case of Blender UI items lists - such selection for multi item actions will not interfer with ordinar active item selection + same as locks will allow "slide" selecting.

Yeah thats pretty good concept, I tried too keep it simple due to I was thinking something more.

Vertex Groups Layers.

On complex weightpaints I find myself masking different groups of vertex groups repeatedly using locks. (your concept would be more suitable, having a separated bool for just selection).

So I was thinking on having some system like a "Data-block" groups of vertex group.

Thinking also that if you have two or more sets of vertex groups, you can blend between them, so animate the weight of them.

To avoid having different weights for different groups, vertex groups groups can be linked by its weights, so you can use it for different purpouses.

I find you thoughts pretty interesting so If you find it cool we can exchange thoughts to do a collab request :)

It's not rare elsewhere, but in Blender every checkbox is a boolean on/off (to enable/disable parameters or to enable/disable collections). Never to add things to a list. It has to be consistent with the way things work in blender in general

Just post it if u wish. Some people here don't like me personally and, I guess, will not vote up, no matter what I will post.

It will be boolean same as everyvhere in Blender, boolean which will define apply multi-item action to this item or not. Similar checkboxes you can find in Graph Editor.
