This is already possible, see the image (apology for poor quality)
Just set the stroke method to "Line".
It's not the best UX, but it's already a feature.

good idea, like shift + left click in photoshop.

Specifically, as a user, how would you expect that interface to work? Would there be a dedicated line tool like in some programs, or would there be second-click straight line drawing, like in others? Furthermore, would this be for painting in the 3D Viewport or in the Image Editor?
This proposal needs a lot more specificity.

* i have been playing around and found one but its had to find, its under brush tools settings -> stroke -> stoke method line i think if it was easily accessible in the tools menu listed under the soften and smear icons that would be great

@esmileonline
* Probably would be best if you created a mock-up.

I'd like to see similar behaviors as in Photoshop:
"Shift" + hold "pen pressure/left click" on an axis => Draws a line on the specificed axis.
"Shift" + "Pen pressure/left click" on a spot then release and "pen pressure/left click" another spot => Draws a line between both spots.
