Cursor and origin revamped functionalities

One of my biggest frustrations is not having absolute control over object origins and moreso over the 3D cursor. I would love to be able to drag/snap the 3D cursor to an area where i need it and even rotate it to an angle so i can move any origin tot that place at the correct angle. A bit like a 'working pivot' or 'custom grid' allowing you to temporarely divert from the normal grid/transforms.

I understand that this is still older Blender workflow but i also think this can be greatly improved to be a lot more user friendly.

What do you guys and gals think ?

I think 3d cursor needs separate snapping and orientation setting

Rotation I give you (it'd need a new icon), but what part of Snapping do you see needing enhancement? I just tried the 3d cursor tool with Snapping on in various modes and it seems to work as expected, ie it snapped where the setting said it should.

* @jeric_synergy * The rotation is very important to me but also having the tranform handles to be able to just drag it a bit would rock. I realize you can move it but the way it is right now is just weird and not very intuitive to me. Hope this clarifies my question somewhat.

* @kurt * , my meaning was: currently any rotation of the 3dc is very hard to see, because of its graphic representation.

It DOES align in specific cases, but I always have to look at the numbers in its panel to see IF it has aligned. The good news is, it does: the bad news is, it's the very devil to >see<.
