Bevel Modifier similar to Fusion360

Would be cool to have the bevel modifier automagically collapse edges to create clean bevels. I imagine it would look something like Fusion360 where you can bevel across an entire surface without (too many) issues.

Afaik the bevel modifier is still being worked on, and the ToDo includes collapsing geometry as you ask

* @ Lsscpp * Well damn! I didn't know that. Can't wait to see it in the future!

you can use the bevel after boolean addon for that, it's free:

* @3d illusions * that's exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks so much!!

* @eldron2323 * no worries, I'd only recommend to use it if your bevel is going to overlap existing edges as it's a bit slow on heavy meshes. Most of the time the bevel modifier or edit mode bevel is the best bet as it's rapid and non destructive if you use the modifier. Check out mesh machine addon too, it allows you to remove or resize edit mode bevels at any time.

* @3d illusions * Played with it a bit and yeah I do wish it was non destructive. I will look at mesh machine and see what it has to offer as well.

  1. Fusion operates with mathsurfaces. Not with vertices
  2. Bevel after boolean can do it, but it is destructive.
