Child of contrstraint for specific bone in a bendy bone chain

It is currently a bit tricky to parent a bone on the side of a Bendy bone.

In this blender file you can see how I achieved it. (Please inform me if there is a simpler way). In my rig, I had to use empties with "vertex triangle" parenting and a secondary mesh to avoid loops in parenting.

What I am proposing is to add a checkbox or something to the child of constraint that would open up a section just for the bendy bones. There you would be able to pick a specific bone in the bendy bone chain as the parent.

Hi,

you can just use a copy transforms constraint, like so : pasteall.org/blend/2d2ced81c42f48e5803b492502fb1257 (it's important to choose the inherit scale method in the flap bone's "relations" properties) For support questions blenderartists is probably more appropriate !

Cheers,

Hadrien

* @Hadrien Brissaud * Nice solution!

* @Hadrien Brissaud * Yes that is a way nicer way of doing it! I also didn't see the "Follow bbone" option before. It makes my proposal pretty obsolete.

Thank you for your contribution!
