Compositor: Noise & Grain Nodes

I followed the Flipped Normals Blender Comp Tutorial ( youtu.be/bF7RV1My41s ) and I was surprised that there is no noise and grain nodes. We add noise a lot but we use asoftware for compositing.

Who else thinks that this shouldn't be an addon but rather a core feature?

For making grain you can use the "Lens Distortion" node and enabling the "Jitter" mode, it will give you an RGB grain all over your image. Then you can blend your original image and the noisy one with a "Mix" node to control the amount of grain you want

The "add-on" is just a couple of basic node groups. The only thing that needs attention here is the texture node editor.

Maybe the noise nodes from the material node editor can be-reused? They would be a pretty good start at least, and you wouldn't have to write a lot of new code. Following the same train of thought, I could have used the "Vector Math" node in the compositor just now, but it is also not available there. (It's quite handy for color math.)
