Alternate keyboard shortcuts for Timeline-ish editors

Although it's easy to get used to Blender's current shortcuts for navigating a timeline (ie shift + left = move to the beginning of the frame range, shift + right = go to the end), i think it would be more intuitive if blender behaved like most software when they deal with timelines, and that is the following:

  • home key: go to the start keyframe
  • end key: go to the last keyframe
  • left: go prev keyframe
  • right: go next keyframe
  • shift + left: go to the left by 10th increments
  • shift + right: go to the right by 10th increments

I believe this model is more intuitive, and more keyboard friendly, since with one's right hand we can jump quickly on any keyframe without using the mouse (ie the 10 increment is useful).

Maybe some users would prefer the old/current model, so perhaps have a legacy keymap and a modern/updated keymap (which i believe should be the default because more intuitive, less thinking when transitioning from a software to another...).

This reminds me of the right click to select when blender first came out (if i remember correctly). It stayed quite some time, but transitioning to more standard/intuitive left click to select i bet feels more natural for new users. Same for the keyframe navigation, which can be found in most software (to my knowledge) that deal with keyframes a timeline, the same idea of shift accelerating the move, but with different variations:

  • DaVinci Resolve: shift + left goes 1 sec back
  • Premiere Pro: shift + left goes back 5 frames
