Adding a new material slot should automatically move it below the active material

When you have a very long list of materials on an object and add a material slot it is always added at the end of the list. Which means if you want to organise your materials on an object you have to manually move it up every time, which can only be done by clicking the arrows.

This is not really user friendly, and while I could write a script to sort them alphabetically I wish new material slots could simply be added next to the active/selected one in the list. This would make more sense and is probably fairly easy to code in.
