Outliner : Colorize objects of a collection when colored
Here's a mockup its self-explanatory, but I do believe it should be optional since definitely, not all users will like it (Might be hectic UI for some).
I saw an amazing UI change by Harley Acheson, and thought coloring the objects would make it even clearer ( projects.blender.org/blender/blender/pulls/122120 )

Not sure about this. It makes icons color lose meaning.
What happens with assets shared by multiple collections? I see here and in other proposals details that would be more appropriate for groups. Users seem to expect a groups concept/feature in blender as collections are quite far from that.
It just shows the color of the collection you see, if there's like a collection inside a collection it would still use the "closest" collection color. When an object is linked in 2 collection it would use 2 colors, like for each collection, not that complicated IMO.
