paint multiple textures
it would be great if we could select and paint multiple textures at the same time. what im interested in actually is using the clone tool to repair visible seams in materials textures, so ideally the exact same changes should be made to all the pbr textures at the same time

This would make Blender a viable PBR texture painting tool. I'm extremely interested in the Clone Brush that works with multiple maps, it would open up an amazing workflow. For example imagine fixing the photoscanned model which had blank spots - by cloning the texture(s) from the good side of the mesh to the bad one to fix it. Or painting over the seams to make a PBR 2x2 captured surface tileable.
I think I get it - What you're proposing is a clone brush that works across all the images using the same UV (Colour, Bump, Normal etc.) all at once.
Nice idea. Not sure whether it would work well with other brushes, but perhaps the idea of PBR painting is one worth exploring!
* @ammusionist * yes exactly, maybe this only makes sense for the clone brush. it would save tons of time working with PBR textures fixing things
* @ammusionist * Blender is a very few steps away from being able to compete with Substance Painter, this would be the biggest and most necessary step.
Yes Yes Yes.
I made an account here to upvote this post. I've always focused more on modeling than texturing so this may or may not sound super naive but I wonder if this could be used in conjunction with UDIMS and maybe a texture painting specific hotkey to switch between textures like layers in Photoshop.
This would be great, the only reason I have a substance subscription is to be able to do this.
I could have used this feature yesterday on a 3 material motorcycle seat.
