Modifier - Layered Creases
In blender we can hit Shift+E in an edge we want to crease (or alter the crease) and use our mouse to define how much we want the crease to influence. Ok, simple enough, but It becomes very hard to keep track as soon as we have complex models with thousands of edges to crease and regions with different values of creases and such.
But what if we could have a Crease Modifier then? this way we could mark the edges we want to crease through vertex groups (or even the standard mark crease) and having a modifier to read that, in case we want to change something no need to select everything than remarking the crease, just go to the modifier and change the value, the program should know what edges are creased by itself.
Moreover, what if It could be layered, we could create a new vertex group (or mark creases in another area) and create a new layer on the modifier and making it possible to alter the crease value of each layer individually, maybe we could then merge layers if we wanted too.
This way we would move into making the process much more dynamic and easier to manage.

Damn near every functionality should be available as a modifier. Knife Project for example should definitely be a modifier.
yeah procedural edit modfiers..dream since 2.7...maybe next decade.. maybe possible with Gnode further dev. of nodes for that!??miss this with edges group, faces group selection Sets.....
