Drag and drop diffuse texture on mesh.
Hello, I come from 3DS max, and let's be honest here, the blender way to work with texture is not intuitive at all. How many clicks does it take to apply a texture on a model?
I'm not asking for a complete rework, but at least drag and dropping a texture file onto a mesh should set the material/texture slot setting automatically and display the texture. That would streamline this process a fair bit.
Edit: I want to expand this a bit. When there are multiple objects in a scene, I want to be able to drag and drop that are different on each separate objects and Blender to create unique materials each time. I'm new to blender, and I'm really struggling to understand the logic behind materials.

Sounds a bit like a papercut, you can post it in the development forums :) devtalk.blender.org/t/blender-ui-paper-cuts/2596/2
@alphaxde: I dont think thats a papercut, papercuts are small issues or UI issues, not features
