Modifiers category in the add menu

It would be really cool to add modifiers by selecting an object and opening the Add menu to add them. Alternatively, considering is not really a menu contextual to the objects selected, the category could be in the right-click menu, although it just seems more natural to me to have this in the Add menu. This could also support constraints and physics.

I'm asking this mostly because in this way we could add modifiers to multiple selected objects at once. modifiers add.png

Yeahhh - adding modifier for multiple objects was always pain in the ass, especially if it is not some 3 objects but some 43...

Additionally, from me - to show this added modifier parameters in bottom left corner popup/repeat popup (F9 by default) so user can setup modifier parameters for all objects at once.

blender.community/c/rightclickselect/WPqg/ Armature inheritance as Independent solution and Instance By this idea can possible to add to objects the modificators instances as in my proposal

Made a free Addon to add modifiers to multiple objects and have them sync using drivers. Get it here: gum.co/SyncedModifiers Let me know if you have any feedback.

you have the add modifier menu but it does not do multiple objects, I could bash something up ... but the question remains is it really worth the hassle.

Not sure the Add menu is the best place. I'd rather copy the Add contraints (with targets) we already have in Pose mode. Let's have basically the same, but for modifiers, and the ability to automatically set targets from selection when it makes sense.

could be extended for also adding constraints and physics

I don't disagree that it would be nice to have everything in a context menu somewhere- but I disagree with adding it to the "add" menu. Take a look at that list- every one of those things has something in common except for modifiers. They all create a new object in the scene. It doesn't make any sense to add it to this menu, convenient as it may be.
