NVIDIA's paper on soft body simulation

I saw this incredible soft body simulation paper : youtube.com/watch

If this is made available on Blender, it'll be great.

people here are not in favour of proprietary stuff , even if nvidia makes it opensource. The best bet is that nvidia will somwhere down the line make their "dcc tools" available for blender , or that a motivated addon developer somehow gets it done and ports us all the nice gameworx (thats nvidias realtime technology collection tools for hair, liquids and other dynamics stuff for videogames) one after another

Correct me if I am wrong, but this is open source.

Just reading the title, I thought this request was a long shot, but after looking into it, it seems reasonable to include this as an optional solver.

The paper contains the sudo-code needed to implement the algorithm. (It is pretty short.)

You can also use [view-source] on the HTML demo , and there you can see the source code of the Javascript implementation. At the top it says, "The MIT License (MIT) Copyright (c) 2021 NVIDIA"

i see! , yeah someone with good math and scipy knowledge could probably port that easily in python, but the demo in the browser is getting the better of my avx or whatever it uses ... chrome shows only 6% cpu in task manager but cpu runs hot and system becomes a bit laggy. better build it in c++ imo or with the most efficient libraries in python , reminds me alot of 3ds max old flex modifier lol , its kinda low res and trashy but good for many things still.

edit: isnt this possible in geometry nodes too ?
