negative frames.
Lets say you make the models, do the animations, the simulations, particles are baked, audio files are in place, you do the camera moves but you feel like you need an opener. Sure, just move everything forward by loads of frames, move the simulations and rebake them, same for particles, for audio, remember where you wrote down the physics collision settings for particles if you deleted them, and then you can make your opening scene.... just a few days, maybe a week wasted.
So how about instead, there would be an option to shift the whole animation, everything forwards, all at once and its not even that hard, whatever keyframe blender has stored, add the offset value to it and done, or alternatively, allow us to animate and render negative frames.
