Subframe support for precise audio synchronization

I am using Blender to mix the video from my camera with the audio from my external recording setup and Blender seems to only let me move the audio track in the VSE by whole frames (for example, 1/30 of a second). This means that I can not synchronize the sound correctly with the video.

In order to correctly sync sound tracks I need to go to Ardour, edit the sound, come back to Blender to see if it fits, and if not, comeback to Ardour and redo the process many times (or sync Blender and Ardor with JACK which may be easier).

I know this isn't adding subframes to the VSE, but Power Sequencer seems to have an align audio feature, if you need to align audio to audio: gdquest.com/docs/power-sequencer/reference/ power Sequencer is included in Blender, so you'll just have to enable it, however they write you'll have to install scipy. This can be done with ease, with an add-on: github.com/amb/blender_pip

And you'll need ffmpeg installed. If you're on windows it can be done like this: blog.gregzaal.com/how-to-install-ffmpeg-on-windows/ I don't know it is done on other OS.

I'm having the same problem (and have had it in the past.) Really hope they add this feature!
