When highres mesh support comes to blender ?

Hi , i was wondering when highres mesh support comes to blender ? , cause other softwares like zbru... and 3dco... can handle alot of mesh (like 50 mil verts) and hold the memory usage down (like 3gb ish) , but in blender there is a different story going on as soon as we rich 10 mil blender becomes unresponsive due to memory killing idk what happens if i upgrade memory do blender still freezes ? can i go higher than 10mil with blender with higher memory like 32gb? i use blender to sculpt with dyntopo (also dyntopo becomes unresponsive with 1mil ish polys ) what other softwares are doing right now ? , i tested Zbru... in many ways in same models with same resolution , (sculptris pro ) works fine with 25 mil mesh in zbru...

When? When someone figures out how to do it. It's not a flick of a switch.

it seems like that those softwares use GPU and Hard drive to calculate stuff , but in general blender is really powerful , i mean when it comes to action there is not too much of a difference , but yes ! there are some memory problems in blender idk how to describe it ...

i spend my time to learn blender ...

How I understand it, The thing about Zbrush, is that is dedicated software. All of it's focus in performance is in one thing only, there is nothing else to hog the resources, so no wonder it has better performance. Blender is a lot more complicated, so it can't be as fast so easily. It can be improved if they figure out how to, and apply the idea, but i don't think it will ever be as fast or faster.

However, blender is still great for sculpting, and the benefit of it all being in one package, (Unlike ZBrush, which is just for sculpting) is huge. It may not let you do as many polygons, but you definitely do not need billions of polygons to sculpt. Work smart.

Zbrush has been in development for 24 years. Perhaps when the Foundation has spent 24 years dedicated to sculpting, they'll arrive at similar performance. And believe me, Zbrush wasn't handling 50 Mil verts in 1999, so it's somewhat impressive that Blender is managing the performance that it is, given it is not specialized for the task.

Blender on my machine works fine and i can use around 50 million polys with no issues. but I agree that we should aim for faster higher performance
