Should Blender 2.8 have extra UI options?

Should Blender 2.8 have a feature to change to past UIs. As in being able to change the UI back to Blender 2.79 or past versions.

I feel as if the devs should have the option to change to past UIs because if people are coming from Blender 2.79 to 2.8 there is a dramatic UI change which means having to learn a new UI.

Another suggestion I have is for the devs to have a help notification to help people if they're having trouble with an animation. Of course people should be able to turn this off in settings.

There are several issues with such things:

  • the old UI already isn't compatible with Blender 2.8 and it will get worse over time as new features and changes will occur.
  • it's yet another dead weight which developpers should take care of

And all that to avoid people to learn a "new" UI, which in the long run is a bad idea for them, and also considering that the "new" 2.8 is an evolution of the old one. It's mostly the same, the biggest changes are not a big deal.

About the "help" notification. Devs are supposed to develop features and fix bugs, not to be available 24h/7d doing user support.
If you need to, there are plenty sites where you can have help, may it be on blenderartists.org for user share & cumminity help, developer.blender.org for posting bug reports, devtalk.blender.org to discuss about blender development, getting help for development by other users and sometimes blender devs too, and rightclickselect to post & discuss feature requests.

Having to switch to 2.8 takes tops 1 to 2 days. It's weird people want to have an option to go back.
