Edit poly modifier/Houdini like edit node
I made a thread on Blenderartists.org on why this would be a great addition if you want to read through some of those: blenderartists.org/t/addition-that-i-think-will-make-geomertry-nodes-even-more-useful/1284902
An edit poly modifier similar to the one in 3Ds max or the edit node in Houdini would be a great addition to the modeling workflow of Blender. It would make it on par with 3Ds max (in many ways it already is) and help streamline modeling and reduce the reliance on duplicate meshes cluttering up scenes and give us the ability to edit geometry non-destructively.
The closest thing to something like this in Blender right now is the new keymesh addon.
This idea was marked as a duplicate of Edit-Mesh Modifier.

* @IIIFGIII * I think there should an option where people mark the proposal as duplicate so their vote count can be added within 7 days to the old proposal and duplicate entry should be removed. The system should be able to merge if the person vote for both proposal. This way the vote counts of the precious previous suggestions will be increased and it will ultimately catch eye of the developer.
