Make instances real spawns the actual instance, not the object with geonode

Now geonodes are quite a big thing for procedual stuff, but they cant really be used outside blender, therefore a great thing would be an option to realise instances as their own seperate gameobject with their own rotation, location and scale.

As example, lets say i generated a city. Now what? Its 10 gb in size. i cant use it in unreal, unity nor elsewhere, its pretty useless. Placing thousands of individual gameobjects manually and hoping i dont mess up along the way will literally take many many months at least, so thats not viable either. Making instances real also doesnt work, because it will instantiate the parent object with its geonodes, meaning now i will have thousands of cities all clustered together, each being 10 gb, yet i only have 32 gb ram. So thats not viable either.

So yeah, making instances real should realise the actual instance, instead of duplicating the original object with its own geonode setup.

Yeah, I was confused when I realized this wasn't the default behavior. But it does actually make sense as most of the time you need the actual object for your node setup. So what we actually need is an option, when applying a geometry node modifier with instances, to make them a separate object instead of just getting an error message

Upping since realizing geonode instances as instances that can be recognized by an exporter would be a great feature, rather than real geometry with baked locations/rotation/scale. I'm not sure that's exactly what's being proposed here but seems close enough to get that considered.

Even better, adding support for realizing instances with animation. So you still have your instances, but they have their transforms over time. Could be an export node with frame range. Allowing simulation nodes to use this would also be awesome. It is on the top of my list for what I want geo nodes to do. At the moment, it is impossible to export geo nodes to fbx.

Btw, I made a addon that partially lets you export geo nodes animation and instances. blenderartists.org/t/realize-instances-in-geometry-nodes-simulatuon/1543853/5
