Geometry Nodes: Indexing aligned with Python for working more efficiently

It should be very useful and save a lot of nodes and time in getting element of last index by using [-1], [-2] which is just the same method employed in python for fancy indexing. The nodes will be more reusable especially in the case with different geometries with different number of elements and points when you want to get the last [-1], the 2nd last [-2] element or so of the geometries. This will save a lot of effort and far convenient. In addition, we can literally select -ve integers in these nodes but it seemed it chose nothing currently. What is it reserved for any original purpose?

Nice proposal! I discovered this reverse index use in Houdini and was disappointed not finding it in GN.

Yes! I think this is useful and just the same method used in python. However, the moderator downvote it. I think he, as a developer, has some deep technical reasons not supporting it. We would like to know what the reason is.

This is exactly the same logic used in parametric modelling in grasshopper. why not blender team just implement it as of now, later decide for optimization and as per community choice. not just for this proposal but for many obvious and basic functionalities.
