This would be good for 2.8 since we're focusing on visual clarity.

It would be nice if by default the display of curves was closer to this proposal. Most of the time I don't use the twist and scale of individual points, so the arrows really get in the way. As far as I know, the size of the arrows is another setting that can't be saved (much like the 'nomalized uvs' setting in the uv editor I wrote a proposal for previously).
