Separate units in workflow

It would be great if there was an option (particularly when using imperial units) to be able to key in separate units (feet and inches) and also fractions, while using certain tools like 'grab' or 'extrude'. At the moment only decimal entry is possible, but to be able to use something like: 12'4 3/4" instead of doing the math first and then entering in: 12.395833333 would make life a lot easier for certain workflows.

I don't know if this is something that would be difficult to implement, if I knew how to code, I'd do it myself
