Preferences menu needs grid-lines or dark-light-dark-light contrasting grid

Open preferences and go to keymap.

Look left at the command, then attempt to guide your eye rightwards towards the appropriate drop-down box, and inevitably fail.

Occasionally context can be inferred based on what the default selection is (i.e. if it's mouse selected on top of keyboard selected), but it's still somewhat impossible to figure out, especially if there's 10-15 mouse commands in a row or something like that.
