Add fundamental UV editing tools
When you need to edit UVs inside of Blender you have to download several addons to have basic features that Blender is missing.
But you then run into the problem, that the addons get outdated and you need to redownload them and all of those UV edit plugins has basically the same name and you have to click through every panel until you find the one you need.
The addons are called TexTools, UV-Packer, Magic UV and UV Square, not at all descriptive names.

To be honest, what actually is the feature you are looking for? No doubt I too would like to have more UV editing features in Blender... but I don't think devs will ever react to this vague request.
I thought a more vague request for more fundamental tools would be more useful then specific ones that some people agree with and some don't
Well... this is from the main page of right-click select: "Got an idea for a feature that you think Blender absolutely must have? This is the place to make your proposals. Share your idea with the community. Discuss it. Revise it. Flesh it out to the point that it's a well thought-out, actionable proposal that a Blender developer can work with. " - actionable usually means something concrete, practical, clear cut thing that can be acted upon. Simply wishing something isn't such IMHO.
I would ask the creators of the addons which features they think are most necessary and which features have gotten broken the most times over the years by updates to Blender. Prioritize based on their answers. I'm of the opinion that every popular addon has just a handful of essential features and its only those that really need to be added to the core of Blender. Since all these features have to be evolved out of the sidebar tabs and into the main Blender UI we literally can't do it for every feature. Some things must remain as addons, but the most essential features do need to be uplifted from being brittle and slow addons.
