Improve 3d curve node-handle in 3d viewport drawing, as in Graph Editor
It is complicated to get used to handling curves (Bézier) in the Blender 3d viewport: there is no difference between nodes and handles, either as color or size or shape and, for complex shapes, it becomes difficult to draw.
Suggestion: 1 - in the viewport the nodes and handles of Bézier curves should have a different shape, following the example of very many vector editing software. Normally the ones are square or rhombus shaped and the seconds are circle shaped.
Here some example on other software but online it is possible to see screenshot of very well know software.
Gimp
Krita
Penpot
Inkscape
Libre Office Draw
2 - that the size be customizable, regardless of the size of the mesh vertices, as is the case now (property ThemeView3D.vertex_size). After all vertices and nodes are two different items.
Moreover, in Blender, design is already done, although not applied to the 3d viewport: in fact, we find it in the Graph Editor!
Thank you, Riccardo

Great idea. I confuse handles for points often.
Something I wanna also add is not to have all the handles show up automatically by default and only when the point/vert is selected in both graph editor or 3d viewport. Because we may be dealing with many complex verts in a Claustrophobic situation and hard to find the handles. I know we have this option for the graph editor, but have a hard time in 3d viewport with curves.
On that topic, I think for the graph editor, the settings to show handles only when the curve line is selected is located somewhere else in the menu. But to have them in a convenient area would also be nice and can be shared with all curve logics.
You can! On the top right of the viewport, in edit mode, the mesh icon, view Handles -> All Is the last topic here: docs.blender.org/manual/en/4.2/editors/3dview/display/overlays.html
Oh great thanks I didn't know that was there! I hoped same can be done to the graph editor cures though! Having a consistent option placements when handles are involved. Because previously from the graph editor, I thought to have to dig thru the preferences as well.
