Blender is Future of Archviz - Why Not?

•To make Blender a more useful program for architectural visualization, I asked users in a facebook group which feature they would most like to be improved.
•And I am sharing the results. 108 vote / 15 answer
• • •I hope the developers take these into consideration.
•I don't share a link because I don't know if it's free to share a Facebook group link. Ekran Alıntısı.JPG

I'm sort of surprised that Bloom and Glare got the highest votes, as those are things than can easily be done in post with other applications, with good results.

yes you are right, I do the same, I open my render result in exr format in 3ds max / vray, apply glare, copy the glare layer and add it to my render in ps. Then when I make a small change in my render, I repeat the same steps, but why? Why do I have to add another program when I use blender, while I can see the result in realtime in other rendering engines and can make the changes I want instantly? Why do we need other software for a filter that I think is as simple as bloom glare? If it can be done simply with other external tools, why can't we also do it in blender?

You misunderstood my point here. Of all the features that archviz poll is thinking are the most important, better glare and bloom?!

In architectural visualization, glare is a very important factor for realism, texture based displacement is also very important, and this feature is still in experimental mode in blender. Actually, as you said, glare or displacement are very simple subjects in 2023, but people do not prefer blender or abandon blender because they cannot do these simple subjects in blender.

If you have any links to proposals you've already made based on this survey, it would be very useful to add them to the description. Otherwise this is pretty nebulous and it's not clear what actions developers can take. "Just be more like 3DSMax" isn't helpful when both apps are quite different and need to implement features differently.

It is hard to understand what these options mean (texture displacement improvement? How?). Maybe it would be easier to understand if they are broken up into separate requests, and explained in more detail.
