Snapping based on view

Hey guys, I've been struggling with one thing for a long time, maybe I just don't know the right tool for it: What if I want to snap a vertex or selection to a certain point that is very far away. The "snap closest" works fine, but there are many cases where I want to snap a vertex that is very far away, like the one shown in the picture as an example. In such cases, what is the solution for an exact snap?

Perhaps a new snapping feature where you snap based on the viewport //like top view // could be a solution.

This (and many similar cases) will be solved when basepoint snapping will be finished

I want to add, perhaps the inverse function, namely the rotation of the camera view perpendicular to the polygon. I can't do it

Shift+num7 ?

No, I'm about:

  • Align the camera view perpendicular to the segment of the object and the camera view.
