Allow the CTRL+MouseWheel shortcut to work for choosing materials.
As part of creative explorations we can go through 100 different materials on 1 material until we find the best looking option.
It takes too many clicks, whether dragging from the asset browser or using the Material Properties tab.
Blender already has a great shortcut for cycling through options, CTRL+MOUSEWHEEL. Please allow that to be used to cycle through all available materials on a material slot.

Ctrl mousewheel is for cycling through options of a dropdown menu. Here you have an integer slider, you can just slide it?
You can use Ctrl + mouse wheel for the integer slider as well.
I'm not sure what you mean. Is the video irrelevant? Which UI element should support Ctrl + MouseWheel, where is it located?
It will takes too much scroll-wheel ticks.
