Lighting workspace

It would be nice to have a workspace for lighting.

Combine them into groups with lamps as nodes Do multiple light composites Write annotations to lamps Show selected lamp as shador ball Experiment with the lights

It would also be nice to have a specific solo toggle button for each light, similar to digital audio workstations where there is a solo toggle button.

Currently in blender the isolate feature does the job but you have to select and deselect multiple things just to implement a solo of one specific light and the lighting subject.

Light nodes for Eevee would probably something we need for this to make sense first

im on board with this. I actually made my own, but one feature I would love is workspace specific materials. If I am focusing on lighting I don't want to see my materials. I just want to see a 50% glossy material on everything and my transmission. That is it. It would be nice to have it automatically assign a 50% grey color and some roughness on everything and just keep my material specific tansmission settings, ditch bumps and normals, ditch the displacement, just keep basic lighting materials specific to that workspace so I can see what I am doing without having to setup an overide for the whole project and then turn it off when I am done.
