frac(x) - 'Fractional Part Function' included in the Math node

Having the frac function as part of the Math node would be neat. Right now I can fake the effect using 'greater than', 'subtract' and 'group' nodes but it only works until my input values reach a certain limit. It would work similar to the sine function in the way that it only cares about the first input value and ignores the second one entirely. Image taken from wolfram.

There's probably a bunch of useful functions that could be added including sqrt, clamp, floor, ceil, trunc, fract and sign to name a few.

I think the function you're looking for is called modulo (same as frac(x) but different name) which is implemented in the math node. It gives the same result as the left figure.

And also a suggestion for the use cases, to understand the worthness of the feature

It would probably be worthwhile to show the node setup that you currently use (and the result of it) versus what you envision your proposed feature to look like.
